Hello! I'm Susmita

I am from Bayonne, New Jersey. I am working as an Instructional Designer at Citigroup and also have my small web design and development business.

I was introduced to the instructional design as an Intern while studying computer science at the University of Alaska Anchorage, I fell in love with it and I enjoyed every moment developing various online courses for the University. After graduating from UAA, I was fortunate to find a job as an Instructional Designer, there is no looking back. I had the opportunity to learn various tools, various methods of delivering the learning material in an easy and interactive way.

In addition to my day job, my website design and development business also taught me a lot, especially about communication. My retail clients will come with an idea and will leave with a product that both my clients and I feel was very well designed. My retail clients provided me a very wide learning opportunity, as my projects came from many different industries and across the world. I learned about different cultures and business needs for different industries – from transportation to food and lodging, working with artists, developing e-commerce sites, and even complex research sites involving statistical programming.
